Hooray and hoorah and huzzah I say!  I never heard back from the doctor after my glucose tolerance test.  It's been over a week now and so I feel safe to say that I passed.  Thank goodness!

Now, I know that gestational diabetes is not the worst thing that could happen.  Heck, it's probably the most easily managed of all of the potentially dangerous complications.  And, it would lead me to make even healthier food choices for me and little bit in there.  But can I just say that I'm glad I can have a cupcake today?  It's my blog so I say yes, it is ok.  I am glad I can have a cupcake today!

I will be heading to the fabulous Retro Bakery and will be indulging in a little yumminess. Mmmm, the flavors. My current fave is coffee and donuts but the hopscotch is always a steadfast and delicious standby.  (I'm sorry to torture any of you that either a) have GD and are right now cursing my existence or b) do not live near a fabulous cupcake place (sorry Duck))

Then, on a sugar high, I will start in on "Project Get Ready for Baby."  Step one: Holy crap get some stuff cleared out of the spare room/nursury/it's-been-a-catch-all-room-since-we-moved-in.  I would post a picture but my camera is out of batteries (yeah, that's a good excuse ;)  Really, it's scary in there.

So, wish me luck.  I'll need it.  But at least I'll have a cupcake to get me through.

I can't believe they didn't call you. I don't know a woman who doesn't know or remember what their # was from the test. You'll have to ask at your next appointment.

Good luck with the clearing out. How exciting!!!

Hmm, I will definitely have to ask. They just said that if everything was ok, they wouldn't call. It's the only time I haven't wanted a call back with results from a test. haha.

Yeah for good cupcakes! Good luck with the cleaning out of the baby's room. I'm off to read. The stack of books hasn't killed me yet, but almost. Almost. I'd love to see pictures of the baby's room once it's finished (and once your batteries are charged).

Oh and BTW, I forgot to tell you to enjoy the he'll out that cupcake. :) I have found a new love for chocolate in my 3rd trimester so I totally get the craving.

Yay for no GD! I would think its safe to say that at this point since they didn't call, so yay again! Have fun getting the nursery ready, can't wait for pics when its all set up =)

I kept meaning to respond more to this. I also never got a call back, with the same assumption that no call meant no GD. I never knew my number and I guess I didn't even think about it.

It turns out we do have a cupcake place and I hope to check it out soon. I'll let you know how it goes.

Shampoo bars = less waste. Less plastic bottles. Also, I'm just curious. Plus, Blue House Soaps (I just typed soups) is a family-owned and -run business, so that's a plus also. We'll see how it goes.

Maybe it's just my computer, but I can't see the tracker anymore. Did you take it down? I was checking in to see exactly how much longer/how far along you are.
